Two-optical-frequency-comb-based RF channelizer is proposed to slice RF band seamlessly and downconvert to multiple IF bands, with rectangular response in each channel. Without special optical filters, 7-channel 500-MHz-step channelizer is reported.
Recognition of sparse multiple RF tones ranging from 15 to 20 GHz is reported based on compressive sampling. Maximum detection error of 60 kHz is achieved using a single ADC with bandwidth of 826.75 MHz.
A novel photonic channelization scheme for a wideband radio-frequency (RF) signal based on an optical frequency comb (OFC), a comb filter, and an optical de-mux is proposed and demonstrated. In the proposed channelizer, the input broadband RF signal is multicast by the OFC, spectrally sliced by a Fabry–Pérot filter (FPF) and then channelized by a regular optical de-mux. Compared to previous proposals,...
A novel configuration with only one Mach-Zenhder interferometer for photonic-assisted instantaneous microwave frequency measurement has been proposed. A proof-of-concept experiment from 5 to 10GHz is performed, and the measurement errors almost less than 0.2GHz is successfully achieved.
