Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) has been achieved in Co2FeAl0.5Si0.5 (CFAS) based trilayers with MgAl2O4 (MAO) as oxide layer. It was found that the PMA is sensitive to the annealing conditions, the thicknesses of MAO (tMAO) and CFAS (tCFAS) layers. A strong PMA can be observed in the Pt/CFAS/MAO structure after 340 °C annealing and maintained as high as 400 °C. For a fixed CFAS thickness...
Magnetic properties have been studied for Ta/Pt/Co2FeAl0.5Si0.5 (CFAS)/MgO/Pt multilayers to investigate the effects of annealing and MgO thickness on perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA). We show that PMA is very sensitive to the annealing conditions and MgO thickness. Strong PMA with high remanence ratio can be achieved after annealing at 300 °C for just 10 min. The thickness of CFAS (tCFAS)...
