A novel and flexible bandwidth scheduling scheme based on three dimensional divisions multiplexing of MSK-OFDM for both downstream and upstream data in OFDM-PON is proposed and experimentally demonstrated with good performances at 2.5Gbit/s by 5 sidebands.
We experimentally demonstrate a novel WDM-OFDM-PON architecture with centralized lightwave sources and PolSK multicast overlay. The 10Gb/s P2P signals, 2.5Gb/s multicast signals and 2.5Gb/s upstream signals have been successfully transmitted over 25km fiber.
A novel optical buffer bases on cascaded DLOBs is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. This buffer can provide large variable delay range of 1-999 times of the basic delay unit and be dynamically reconfigurable within nanoseconds.
We have theoretically investigated the transmission performance of the optical millimeter-waves (mm-waves) generated using intensity modulation via a Mach-Zehnder modulator, with the double and single sidebands (DSB and SSB) and optical carrier suppression (OCS) schemes. According to our theoretical analysis, fiber chromatic dispersion leads to fading effect and time shifting of the codes; therefore,...
