In this paper, we design a pipelined flash Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) to achieve high speed using 0.18 um CMOS technology. The results obtained are presented here. The physical circuit is more compact than the previous design. Power, processing time, and area are all minimized. This design can be used for modern high speed ADC applications.
A novel PWM technique in active power factor correction converter for power supplies with a 1-phase front end diode rectifier is proposed and analyzed. Regarding PFC converters as highly non-linear plants with inherence parameter uncertainties, the deleterious effects due to large disturbances in line voltage and load resistance are tackled by two sided latched PWM technique with sophisticated feedback...
A novel zero-voltage switching (ZVS) step-down converter with a tapped inductor is proposed in this paper. Tapped inductor provides better power density as compared to isolation buck converter. With a simple structure, the tapped-inductor buck converter shows promise for extending the duty cycle. This converter is cost effective and attractive for high performance. Furthermore, with the replacement...
A new zero-voltage switching (ZVS) pulse width modulation (PWM) DC-DC converter using MOSFETs is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter achieves ZVS with reduction in voltage and current stresses across switches to improve the efficiency by minimizing the switching and conduction losses. The predicted operation principles and theoretical analysis of the presented converter are verified with...
This paper proposes a zero-voltage transition (ZVT) PWM synchronous buck converter, which is designed to operate at low output voltage and high efficiency typically required for portable systems. To make the DC-DC converter efficient at lower voltage, synchronous converter is an obvious choice because of lower conduction loss in the diode. The high-side MOSFET is dominated by the switching losses...
This paper proposes a zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) pulse width modulated (PWM) synchronous buck converter, which is designed to operate at low voltage and high efficiency typically required for portable systems. A new passive auxiliary circuit that allows the main switch to operate with zero-voltage switching has been incorporated in the conventional PWM synchronous buck converter. The operation...
Humidity sensor can be defined as a device, which consists of plastic material whose characteristics change as per the amount of humidity present in the air. Its various application areas include controlling of the climate, storage of food articles, domestic applications etc. The reference paper implemented the humidity sensor uses post-CMOS processing of CMOS fabricated chips to obtain suspended...
