We propose and demonstrate a scheme to realize frequency entanglement based on a silicon micro-ring resonator. The generated photon pairs also possess the property of energy-time entanglement. So hyper-entangled photon pairs are generated.
A reverse ridge/slot hybrid chalcogenide glass $({\rm As}_{2}{\rm S}_{3})$ waveguide with two vertical silicon dioxide slots is proposed in this paper. The fundamental quasi-TE mode of the waveguide shows an ultraflat dispersion with three zero-dispersion wavelengths. Its dispersion is confined between $-$26 and $+$27 ps/nm/km over a bandwidth of 1370 nm (from 1770 to 3140 nm). Two slots in the...
Birefringence in microstructure fiber leads to polarization dependent parametric florescence, which provides a novel scheme for polarization entangled photon pair generation. Its feasibility is demonstrated by two-photon interference measurement with fringes visibilities of >93%.
Up to 14-ns delay is achieved by the SBS slow light in a 25-m long high nonlinearity photonic crystal fiber. The high delay efficiency improves the control rate of SBS slow light systems.
