This paper presents an approach for the improvement of transmittance in capacitive grid polarizer with dielectric substrates by introducing antireflection(AR) coating. The capacitive grid polarizer using Cu material is printed in the dielectric substrate of PTFE. According to different position relations between grid and substrate, the four structures of the AR coating are verified by the reflection...
This paper presents the investigation of a quasi-optical output system for a fourth-harmonic gyro-multiplier in the THz band through geometric optic analysis and three-dimensional full-wave simulation. The output system of the gyro-multiplier needs not only to transfer two high-order waveguide modes into the quasi-Gaussian beams, but also to separate the two beams. A dual-frequency quasi-optical mode...
This paper presents our work on the design of a gyro-multiplier output system for the conversion and separation of the two modes at two distinguished frequencies. Correspondingly, the key components including the mode converter and the frequency selective surface are simulated and designed.
A tri-pin tri-mode corrugated matched horn with low side lobes is proposed to compensate the cross-polar component in high performance offset reflector systems. The simulated results are presented, showing that the cross-polar isolation in the offset tri-reflector compact range is improved from 30.5dB to 48.2dB when the proposed horn is used.
In this paper, a 325GHz Sub-Harmonic mixer with 70GHz bandwidth is presented. It will be used for a ultra wideband remote sensing system. The mixer circuit included planar Schottky diode in a balanced configuration, the passive RF/LO and IF matching networks, filtering circuits, as well as transitions from waveguide to suspended micro-strip. Simulated results for the 325GHz mixer achieved DSB conversion...
