This research proposed a TCM FS Ontology using FS-associated information retrieved from ancient Chinese medical texts. To standardize the process, we rigorously followed the 7-steps-approach proposed by Standard University. Besides, the establishing of axioms constraining the relationships between concepts may provide reference for the construction of knowledge base in future studies.
The integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine (WM) requires extensive interdisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration. The productivity of integrated studies is often limited by the lack of understanding between practitioners from different cultural backgrounds. Information technologies, especially the Semantic Web and ontologies, can facilitate the exchange of medical...
Objective:This study aims to apply closed Non-interactive Literature-Based Knowledge Discovery into the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to excavate the invisible connection between non-interactive documents and probe into possible hazard factors of the diagnosis and treatment of TCM on Diabetic Retinopathy, thus to offer references for scientific research and clinical scientists. Methods:Non-interactive...
The World Wide Web connects a wide variety of communities in medical domain, and provides a platform for knowledge exchange and integration between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and biomedicine. However, the cultural gaps between TCM and Western Medicine hinder cross-cultural communication. We utilize Semantic Web technologies to build a knowledge base that integrates distributed and heterogeneous...
