In this letter, we present a label-typed UHF RFID tag antenna for metallic objects. The antenna is fabricated on a thin flexible PET substrate with a thickness of 0.07 mm. In order to achieve good performance on metallic objects as well as in free space, the design of the proposed antenna is mainly considered for two factors; gain and impedance matching. To increase the gain of the proposed antenna,...
A meandered slot antenna is proposed without matching network. For size reduction, the meander-line configuration combined with slot dipole antenna was applied in tag antenna. Also, effects of the conductor area on the performance of the antenna are investigated for tag impedance matching. The proposed design is verified by simulation and measurement which show good agreement. The measured bandwidth...
In this paper, the authors investigate performance of RFID tag antennas depending on line width for metallic object application. The evaluation of 1-, 4-, and 6-mm line widths of a folded type dipole antenna is performed, and thus the meandered folded-dipole RFID tag antenna with 6-mm line width was proposed for the metallic object application.
