This paper introduced a concept of near-field array gain improvement originated from the design factor of far-field antenna array, by which an efficiently non-radiative mid-range wireless power transmission (WPT) system can be realized. Different from far-field antennas, the near-field communication needs integrative analysis including both transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) antennas for the strong...
A new method of using coil arrays at both the transmitter and receiver sides is introduced for wireless power transmission (WPT) employing the technique of mid-range strong magnetic resonant coupling. Dual two-coil arrays are designed as the WPT system, where one array is used for the power transmitter while the other array is applied for the power receiver. It is shown that a power transmission efficiency...
This paper presents the realization of efficient wireless power transmission (WPT) by using a vertical coil array as the receiver. The design of the array and the emphasis on the removal of mutual coupling effect among the coil elements are shown in a simulated WPT system. The high transmission efficiency by the proposed vertical coil array is demonstrated by simulation results.
