We demonstrate a reconfigurable photonic differentiator using a phase modulator and a delay interferometer (DI). Both differentiations on-field and on-intensity are obtained with small total average errors. The multi-channel differentiation is also demonstrated.
We demonstrate extinction ratio improvement at 80 Gbit/s wavelength conversion using a single semiconductor optical amplifier cascaded with a delay interferometer and band pass filters. The output extinction ratio can be improved from 3.2 dB to 20 dB.
We demonstrate all-optical ultra-wideband doublet pulse generation by single SOA and 1 km SMF. The doublet pulses are transmitted over 5 km SMF by dispersion compensation without degradation. The pulse shape modulation is also shown.
