We report the use of a near-resonant GaInNAs SESAM in a Cr4+:forsterite laser to generate transform-limited 150fs pulses around 1300nm at a repetition-rate of 0.65GHz with average powers up to 270mW.
In this work we investigate the performance of a novel ultrashort laser cavity design that incorporates an intracavity deformable mirror as a versatile phase-control element. With this cavity it is possible to induce user- defined phase changes into the pulse directly from the laser oscillator, as depicted in Fig. 1 thereby eliminating the need for an additional external pulse shaper.
An effective means of achieving a portable, ultrafast blue-light source using a variety of nonlinear media is demonstrated. We investigate the relative merits of aperiodically-poled bulk and waveguide nonlinear crystals in comparison to periodically-poled structures.
