We experimentally demonstrated a double-clad ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier operating at 1020 to 1070 nm. The measured gain is 27 dB and the gain variation is less than 2 dB.
A microwave photonic filter using a novel multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber laser is proposed. The filter was experimentally demonstrated featuring reconfigurability by adjustment of output wavelengths number from the EDFL. Experimental results show excellent agreement with the simulated ones.
A simple long-distance and quasi-distributed FBG sensor system using a pulsed SOA is investigated. In the proposed system, OSNR greater than 20 dB from 6 FBGs quasi- distributed along a 40-km fiber was achieved.
We demonstrated a 40-GHz actively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser that incorporates an electro-absorption modulator and a linear optical amplifier. Stable pulses with peak power of 46 mW and pulsewidth of 2.8 ps are obtained when pumped with 100 mw.
A microwave photonic filter using a simple and novel multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) is proposed. The filter was experimentally demonstrated featuring tunability and reconfigurability by adjustment of the output from the EDFL. The experimental results show excellent agreement with the numerical simulations.
