In this paper, a thin vertical polarization antenna for 800 MHz band cellular system is described. The influence of radome is confirmed and both resonant frequency and bandwidth are changed by radome. It is verified that the radome behaves as dielectric substance and it contributes to antenna miniaturization. Utilizing radome, antenna miniaturization is achieved. The resonant frequency is shifted...
The quarter-wave shorted patch antenna with two parasitic elements having switch elements was proposed to control the beam profile by a simple structure. This antenna has the feature to change the radiation pattern to three directions using only four switch elements. The fabrication of the antenna using switch elements and the measurement will be left for future problem.
