We demonstrate a 1 ?? 16 optical packet switch sub-system for 160 Gbps RZ-OOK and 12 ?? 10 Gbps multi-wavelength DPSK packets. We show error-free operation with maximum penalties of 0.7 dB for 160 Gbps RZ-OOK and 0.6 dB for multi-wavelength DPSK packets.

We demonstrate 1times5 broadband WDM optical packet routing with monolithically integrated phased-array switch on InP. Using a synchronized eight-port current driver, error-free forwarding of 8 times 40-Gbps multi-colored packet is achieved with Lt25-mA current injection.
We report 92 km, 2 hop optical burst switching over JGN2 field testbed. Low frame error rate(<10-6) Ether-frame forwarding at 40 Gbps is achieved using low-PDL PLZT matrix switches.
An optical switching node with sub-millisecond granularity is demonstrated. The node is equipped with shared wavelength converter for contention resolution with microsecond tuning speed and compact gain block for loss compensation based on erbium-doped waveguide.
