We have produced optical vortex beams and measured effective phase difference between the two orthogonal field components for different polarization. Stokes vector formalism is used to quantify polarization of beam and elements of coherency matrix.
In this paper, we demonstrate novel type of free-space optical links. It is a contrived idea but has a great potential for realization. The links may be exploited to exchange information in free-space.
In this study we show that spectral anomalies shown by spatially coherent light on diffraction in the form of spectral shifting and spectral switching may be exploited for information encoding, information hiding and free-space communications.
