Limiter is a kind of important devices to protect the front end from physical damage in the case of microwave receivers working in the complex electromagnetic environment. An 18–40GHz solid-state power limiter has been designed and tested in this paper. Results have shown it has below 3.1dB insertion loss and can keep output power below 18.5dBm with an input of 25dBm CW.
