We report on a high-peak-power acousto-optically Q-switched Er:Y2O3 ceramic laser operating at room temperature. Stable pulses with a duration of 41–190 ns (FWHM) are generated at approximately 2.7 μm with the repetition rate varying from 0.3 to 10 kHz. The peak power at 0.3-kHz repetition rate is approximately 7.3 kW. An average output power of over 320 mW is generated at a repetition rate of 10...
With the progress of modern industry, the miniaturization of devices has become an ongoing demand in the advanced manufacturing technology. And one of the core issues of electronic equipment integration is to improve the dielectric permittivity of capacitor materials. Here, the functional dielectrics BaTiO3−xBaSnO3(x=0∼0.2) (abbreviated as BT-xBS) were prepared by a conventional solid state reaction...
A TOC scintillator material, lanthanum yttrium oxide ((La,Y)2O3) has been investigated at RMD. The X-ray excited emission shows a broad band that peaks at ∼ 415 nm, originating from the host lattice. Under gamma-ray excitation the emission decays with a fast time constant of ∼ 17 ns, and multiple slower components. The temperature dependence of LYO was studied in the −30°C to +50°C range. The relative...
Lanthanum doped lead zirconate titanate [(Pb,La)(Zr,Ti)O3] transparent ceramics show relaxor behavior when the content of Lanthanum is 4-14% and molar ratio of Zr/Ti is 65/35. They were known as important electro-optical materials, but few researches had been focused on their electromechanical behavior. In the present work, we report a large recoverable electrostrain of about 0.2% at 1.0 kV/mm in...
