We propose the concept of over-gigabit visible light indoor networks using λ-conversion achieved by combining a short pulse modulator with a QPM-LN module. Error free operation at 1.25 Gb/s is confirmed in a free space.
We propose optical access system employing short wavelength region (1.1~1.2 μm) for WDM overlay of over 10G-class service on existing optical access networks. We demonstrate 1.26 μm, return-to-zero (RZ), 10 Gb/s transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF).
Using a commercially-ready 40-lambda DWDM system, RZ-DQPSK is confirmed to offer excellent DGD tolerance, up to 25 ps, through high PMD installed DSFs.
