This paper presents a Q-band transmitter (Tx) RF front-end module which, includes a PLL, a lowpass filter and an up-converter. The PLL provides about 10 dBm of output power at 9.5996 GHz. The phase noise of PLL is better than −98 dBc/Hz offset 1 kHz. In order to suppress the harmonic frequency, the PLL is integrated with lowpass filter. The filter is variable-width stepped impedance filter and its...
PLL is widely used in a variety of frequency synthesis systems. This paper presents a wideband frequency synthesizer method using a passive frequency double and programmable frequency dividers. The wideband frequency synthesizer contains basic PLL, programmable power processing circuitry, frequency multiplying circuit and frequency dividing circuit. The paper finally provide a wideband frequency from...
In this paper, a 3.9GHz tunable dielectric resonator oscillator (DRO) with low phase noise is presented. To minimize the phase noise of the oscillator, a high Q-factor tunable dielectric cavity resonator operating in the TE011 mode is designed. Analytical equations are derived to determine the resonant frequency of the cavity resonator. The calculated results and simulated ones by HFSS software are...
This paper proposes a design of a PLL frequency synthesizer for LTE wireless channel simulator. A triple-VCO is used in the single-loop PLL to design the broadband and miniature frequency synthesizer. The bandwidth is from 2.8GHz to 6GHz. Test results show that, in the offset frequency of 10kHz from the carriers, phase noises are −108.95dBc/Hz@3GHz, −103.94dBc/Hz@4GHz, −99.17dBc/Hz@5GHz and −94.32dBc/Hz@6GHz.
In this paper we have developed a novel Local Oscillator Module for down conversion application in Signal Source Analyzer with low phase noise, which covers 3–10 GHz frequency range. The local oscillator is a multi-loop YTO based frequency synthesizer, which is implemented with ultra low phase noise OCXO, low phase noise YIG-tuned oscillator, low conversion loss, and low noise sampling phase detector...
