A new technique has been presented in an attempt to achieve wideband DRA. Hybrid DRAs are well known as wideband antenna. By adding a parasitic ring to the top of the dielectric resonator ring, we were able to further improve the impedance bandwidth for hybrid DRAs. Using this technique, the bandwidth increases from 96% to 105%, from 92 to 100%, and from 107% to 119%.
