An IA-RWA computation with QoT compensation based on double Cooperating PCEs is presented and extended AMSON testbed is verified. Two kinds of IA-RWA computation with QoT compensation strategies including Cooperating PCEs based and RSVP based strategies are demonstrated and compared.
Services Computing has become an increasingly important area in the IT and business sectors. In particular, Services now account for more than half of the economy in the United States and other countries. Numerous Services Computing-related degree programs and accreditation processes are being created. However, very few systematic guidelines exist for building graduate programs for Services Computing...
Cloud computing, a new paradigm of distributed computing, introduces many new ideas, concepts, principals, technologies and architectural styles into enterprise service-oriented computing. The enterprise service-oriented architecture (ESOA) style is an abstraction of concrete enterprise service-orientated architectures, which includes SOA architectural elements, service design patterns as well as...
In this paper, we study legacy asset reuse for SOA design. Typically, the cost of reusing legacy assets is much lower than the cost of creating new services from scratch. As an extension of our SOA service modeling, we use top-down approaches to identify business services, and use asset modeling for legacy asset identification to find potential reusable assets for those services. Using service capacity...
Information convergence system is a unified and shared information platform which aggregates different levels of resources or services to make sure students and teachers can share their knowledge freely. Architecture design is crucial to campus information convergence system. However, it is hard to eliminate information islands from different departments or management organizations. To solve this...
Meeting the requirement and development of large granaries, an embedded environmental monitoring system for grain storage based on ARM technology is designed in this paper. The overall structure of the proposed monitoring device consists of two components, one is the host computer located in control room for information processing and prediction of grain situation, the other is the lower computer...
Focusing on the architecture characteristics of the new computer architecture sCPU-dBUS with high-security, this paper designs and implements a bootloader module based on the new high-security operating system with internal networking structure netOS-I which is only used by sCPU-dBUS. The bootloader module mainly contains initializing the hardware environment of new computer architecture sCPU-dBUS;...
This paper discusses and analyzes the business process layer in the SOA solution stack (S3) model, which is also known as the SOA reference architecture (SOA-RA). Business process layer leverages the service layer to quickly compose and choreograph services and to coordinate business processes to fulfill customer requirements. Based on industry practice, we introduce a set of architectural building...
Cloud computing is evolving as a key computing platform for sharing resources that include infrastructures, software, applications, and business processes. Virtualization is a core technology for enabling cloud resource sharing. However, most existing cloud computing platforms have not formally adopted the service-oriented architecture (SOA) that would make them more flexible, extensible, and reusable...
A novel global quality of transmission (QoT) optimization scheme is proposed for GMPLS-based reconfigurable transparent optical networks. By perceiving and controlling the transmission impairments and state of tunable compensators, dynamic QoT optimization is implemented on the fly. Simulation results show that, the proposed QoT optimization can avoid unnecessary compensator adjustment and lower operating...
Architecture of DREAMSCAPE is introduced into optical networks combined with ASON/GMPLS, and a selection scheme is proposed for group engine (GE) and unit engine (UE). Then the cooperation relationship of modules in GE and the verification platform are described.
This paper designs a PCE-based architecture of routing, and proposes two distributed signaling schemes in PCE-based wavelength switching optical network (WSON). Simulation results based on the topology of Chinese core network are given and analyzed.
We experimentally investigate impairment aware routing and end-to-end compensation in a WSON testbed. The extended control plane modules for QoT optimization and two compensation control strategies are realized and verified in terms of optical power adaptive adjustment.
A novel cloud computing architecture over optical networks is proposed based on the service plane. An experiment of resources dynamic co-schedule is deployed on our AMSON testbed and the result of it demonstrates the validity of the architecture we proposed.
A routing architecture based on PCE has been designed for the large, multi-layer and multi-domain optical networks, and a PCE-based fast reroute algorithm has been proposed for multi-failures in multi-domain optical networks.
We developed a framework for constraint routing in multi-domain optical network which combines PCE with service plane. With the distributed routing computation characteristic of PCE and the adaptability of service plane for service attributes, the framework provides an optimal SLA-based constraint routing strategy. Experiment results verify our framework and strategy.
Proposed in this paper is a dual routing engine-based routing architecture for multi-domain multi-layer networks. An interpreter-based modeling of the group engine is discussed and a preliminary routing strategy is designed with consideration of scalability and flexibility.
Services computing has become a foundational discipline of modernizing services and software industry. Services Computing Curriculum Initiative (SCCI) is a community-driven professional activity which is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Services Computing (TC-SVC). This session will present the latest advancements of SCCI in terms of newly formalized knowledge areas, case...
This tutorial will take the audience through an ldquoaggregatedrdquo SOA engagement and discuss key processes, activities, and deliverables through the entire life cycle, especially in service modeling, realization, integration through an enterprise service bus and governance. Best practices and some anti-patterns will also be presented and discussed. It is mostly based on some of the speakers' pioneering...
