We show that invalid signatures generated by attackers may be complex, and these signatures are difficult to detect. The detecting method which is widely used now may not detect such invalid signatures with a small probability. In this paper, we use cover-free families to certainly detect them when the number of invalid signatures is small enough.
We report a FPGA-hardware implementation of a novel Hough-transform (HT) architecture. A DE4 platform with a Stratix-IV FPGA device has been applied to synthesize a complete prototype system. Due to parallelization of the voting procedure, XGA videos can be processed with a frame delay of 5.4 ms at an operating frequency of 200MHz. System suitability for detecting road lanes in automotive applications...
In order to improve the reliability of Switched Reluctance drive system, this paper presents a new control method to reduce the capacitance value of DC bus. Firstly, based on the equivalent mathematical model of the electrolytic capacitor, the capacitance value of the DC bus is estimated at the fixed frequency. Three methods are proposed to reduce the capacitance of the bus, and the mathematical relationship...
This work presents a high power highly linear multi-level outphasing transmitter, which meets ACLR specifications for an LTE downlink signal without the use of DPD. This is feasible, because up to 64 discrete output power levels can be used. These are needed to attain the required dynamic range for high peak-to-average-power signals. The three-stage GaN power amplifier (PA) line-up of each branch...
The microgrid inverter experiences the power oscillations and current harmonics in case of the unbalanced grid voltage faults. However, there is a trade-off between power oscillations and current harmonics should be considered in three phase three wire inverter systems during the conventional fault ride through control. In order to solve this problem, a novel control strategy is proposed to enhance...
The electrolyte/Si solar cell structure is proposed to investigate single field-effect surface passivation. The electrolyte-induced extra electrostatic field under the surface of Si solar cell can be controlled by adjusting voltages between the electrolyte and the surfaces of Si solar cell. Under positive gate voltages, an electron accumulation layer was formed under the electrolyte/Si interface leading...
In the paper, the proportions of the sea clutter Intrinsic Mode Functions (ab. IMFs) energy to the whole signal energy and the influence of the target on the proportions are discussed. It is found that the latter low frequency IMFs are weaker when no target is hit, but they are stronger when the target is hit, and the proportions of their energy to the whole signal energy become larger, which could...
A lowpass (LP) ΔΣ based transmitter frontend suitable for software defined radios (SDR) is presented. ΔΣ modulation is utilised to generate an RF signal suitable for driving highly efficient switching-mode power amplifiers. The whole frontend is implemented in the digital domain up to the upconversion. Two implementations methods for LP-ΔΣ-modulator-based transmitter frontends are described. A circuit...
This paper analyses an energy-efficient multistandard LINC transmitter. Compared with the classical LINC, a multilevel selection algorithm is developed to optimise the levels dependent on the signal statistics in order to boost average power efficiency. Based on this algorithm, a multilevel LINC transmitter is implemented on a system-level. Simulation results show that compared with the classical...
Based on the analysis of the characteristics of SAR target echo and the time excursion of fractional Fourier transform (FRFT), the Article has put forward a time-delay balance method based on FRFT to detect the slowly moving target in SAR echo according to the characteristics of SAR ground clutter. Calculation on the FRFT of echo signal and the FRFT of echo signal after short delay time results in...
In this paper fuzzy fractal algorithm for discrete signal processing is introduced. The two major concepts of the algorithm are fuzzy fractal dimension and grade of fractality, which merge fuzzy theory and fractal theory. The fuzzy concept of fractality in discrete time series can be reconstructed as a kind of fuzzy set and the objective short time series can be used by a new membership function....
Through this work, we present a core leakage failure mechanism in our 90 nm high density memory products which was found to be related to etch process loading sensitivity to high density. Process optimization was done to fix the problem while maintaining sufficient etch margin against stringers.
In this paper, we present a spectral graph partitioning method for the co-clustering of images and features. We present experimental results, which show that spectral co-clustering has computational advantages over traditional k-means algorithm, especially when the dimensionalities of feature vectors are high. In the context of image clustering, we also show that spectral co-clustering gives better...
