We compare the Fermi liquid (FL) and statistical spin liquid (SSL) representations of the electronic properties for strongly correlated systems. In particular, we discuss the entropy, as well as the magnetization as a function of band filling, temperature and magnetic field. These properties are quite different in the two (FL, SSL) states.
