Welches N darf es sein? Die chemoselektive und komplementäre Pd‐ und Cu‐katalysierte N‐Arylierung von 2‐Aminobenzimidazolen wird beschrieben. Die selektive N‐Arylierung der Aminogruppe gelang mit einer Pd‐katalysierten Methode, während zur selektiven N‐Arylierung des Azol‐Stickstoffatoms ein Cu‐katalysierter Prozess zum Einsatz kam.
Am mittleren N: Die N2‐selektive katalytische Arylierung 4,5‐nichtsubstituierter und 4‐substituierter 1,2,3‐Triazole gelingt mit Arylbromiden, ‐chloriden und ‐triflaten in Gegenwart des Liganden 1 und einer Palladiumquelle. DFT‐Rechnungen zufolge ist die Bildung der N2‐arylierten 1,2,3‐Triazole kinetisch begünstigt. dba=Dibenzylidenaceton, Tf=Trifluormethansulfonyl.
