Low noise amplifier (LNA) for 40 GHz and 60GHz wireless PAN has been simulated using a carbon nanotube FET HSPICE model. The LNA transfer gain (S21) and noise figure (NF) were found to be 11 dB and 1.6 dB respectively at 40 GHz and 8 dB and 2 dB at 60 GHz. Excellent simultaneous matching at both bands at input (S11≤−20dB) and output (S22≤−18dB), as well as stability factor K >1 have been achieved...
This paper describes multiband cascode mixer for 2.4 GHz and 5.8GHz wireless LAN applications. The designed mixer has been found to give isolation for LO-to-IF as ≅ −20dB, LO-to-RF as ≅−18dB and RF-to-IF as ≅−13 dB at 2.4GHz, whereas these isolations, at 5.8GHz, were found as ≅−16dB, ≅−14dB and ≅−11.5dB, respectively, with fixed intermediate frequency fIF of 100MHz. With power consumption Pdc≅ 4.2mW,...
