An efficient and accurate method for the analysis of human backscatter response to ultrawideband near-field UHF radar systems is presented. The method combines a full-wave analysis of a human body model with a PO-like indoor propagation code known as “brick-tracing.” This method allows for the analysis of radar detection and tracking of humans within a realistic building environment. Using this method...
A hybrid method to study the problem of wave propagation and scattering in an indoor environment in the presence of inhomogeneous periodic walls is proposed. The method makes it possible to accurately study the effects of inhomogeneous walls in a 3D environment and was validated withh both theory and measurement. Contrary to full-wave analysis, it is capable of handling large 3D structures.
