This paper proposes a distributed parameter equivalent circuit model of a magnetostrictive energy harvester, where the mechanical parameters and the mechanical-electro coupled terms are represented by electronic components. Based on the model, the harvester system with any energy extraction circuit (EEC) can be modeled in a circuit simulator for system-level evaluation and design. Comparisons between...
Based on the theoretical formulation of the electromagnetic field distributions within a square patch resonator, an equivalent circuit and corresponding coupling model of the patch resonator for dual-mode filter operations are first constructed. Then, a circular hole (called as a perturbation element) etched on the patch itself with symmetric or antisymmetric to the excitation ports is studied. Further,...
A new type of variable phase shifter is designed by using the Ansoft HFSS simulation software, which is based on the suspended T-junction and its equivalent circuit. It can easily realize the characteristic of equal power and phase shift.
An improved microstrip open-loop bandpass filter with controllable electric and magnetic mixed coupling is proposed. An additional transmission zero can be produced and precisely controlled by tuning electric and magnetic coupling parameters respectively. An equivalent circuit is used to analyze the behavior of the proposed filter. Simulated and measured results are in good agreement.
