Half maximal (50%) effective concentration (EC50) values are widely used to express fungicide potency and sensitivity of plant pathogens. This study explored the necessity of logarithmic transformation for statistical analysis of EC50 values. The results demonstrated that without logarithmic transformation, none of the five sets of epoxiconazole EC50 data (n = 26–33) against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum...
A method of wavelet packet frequency decomposition was proposed, and it was used to analyze the vehicle interior noise signal and take feature extraction, the characteristic vector of total average statistical was constructed after feature extraction. Meanwhile the vector of sound quality calculated from the objective quantization mathematics model was also constructed. Then the correlation coefficient...
Motifs are over-represented sequence or spatial patterns appearing in proteins. They often play important roles in maintaining protein stability and in facilitating protein functions. When motifs are located in short sequence fragments, as in transmembrane domains that are only 10-20 residues in length, and when there is only very limited data, it is difficult to identify motifs. In this study, we...

This paper presents the design of two-dimensional Wiener filters for error resilient time domain lapped transform. Two solutions are discussed, and a multi-pass approach is also proposed to make the algorithm adaptive to input statistics. Design examples and image coding experiments show that the adaptive 2-D Wiener filters provide significant improvement over the existing 1-D Wiener filtering method
