Correlated photon pairs at 1.5 μm are generated in a silicon waveguide with length of 1.6 mm. The ratio between coincident and accidental coincident counts is 19, showing low Raman noise and strong correlation. Photon pair generation shows strong dependence on pump polarization, fitting well with theoretical analysis.
Polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistors (TFTs) can be improved by integrating DRAM on chip. However, the TFT's poor capacitance means that traditional DRAMs are infeasible, because they require a capacitor. An alternative, the one-transistor DRAM (1T-DRAM), is promising because it avoids the capacitor by instead storing the logical value as holes trapped in the body region. This letter proposes...
This paper is submitted with an investigation concerning the effects of the Si thickness-induced variation of the electrical characteristics in the FDSOI with block oxide. We noticed that the traditional sidewall spacer process is used and processed to produce the block oxide enclosing the Si-body in our proposed structure, the undesirable ultra-short-channel effects can be significantly diminished...
