A W-band backward wave oscillator (BWO) based on metamaterial (MTM) slow wave structure (SWS) is presented as a novel high power microwave generator. Particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation is performed to evaluate the efficiency of the W-band MTM-based BWO (MTMBWO), and the MTMBWO can reach saturated output power of 2.78MW with an electronic efficiency of 31.68% at frequency of 84.87GHz.
In this paper, a dynamic offloading model is proposed to minimize the energy consumption of mobile devices by exploiting cloud computational resources for view synthesis. The computational complexity of view synthesis, the processing capability of the cloud, the processing capability and the power consumption of the mobile are considered jointly into the model to provide an optimized solution. Several...
Today's Cloud based render farm usually requires end users to transfer modeling data into the Cloud for rendering and makes the end users to trust the providers of the cloud infrastructure with many security policies. However, the end users have no basis to determine if these Cloud services are trustworthy, except the assurances of the service provider. This brings up a serious security concern on...
This paper first discusses the narrow and broad sense of the Knowledge Supply Chain (KSC) proposed by Chinese scholars, and based on this, advances the definition of the Enterprise Knowledge Supply Chain (EKSC). Then, the three problems needed to be solved in constructing the EKSC are put forward which include the ignorance of the peripheral branches of the Enterprise Knowledge Supply Chain (PBEKS),...
A distributed hydrological model that can simulate the hydrological processes of watershed by considering both saturation-excess and infiltration-excess runoff mechanisms is intruduced. The model is based on MapWinGIS platform and adopts modular programming ideas, watershed features such as river network and subbasins can be extracted automatically. In the model, the hydrological processes of watershed...
Dredging simulation is of great significance to the development of dredging engineering technology of harbor, waterway, rivers, lakes, etc. The design and implement of the dredging simulation system are introduced. The modeling and key techniques for the virtual reality of construction site, the movement of dredge vessel, the soil cutting of cutter, and the hydraulic transport of sand in a pipeline,...
Coverage optimization is a critical issue in 802.11 Wireless LANs planning problems. In this paper an immune network algorithm named opt-aiNet is studied in order to automatize the planning process by optimizing the BS's (Base Station) sites. Compared the results of opt-aiNet and genetic algorithms(GA) which have been used in radio coverage optimization before, we found that opt-aiNet could find the...
The spindle is an important part of a CNC machine tool, and it is very significant to study how to simulate the deformation of the spindle accurately no matter in theoretical or practical way. Traditionally, the boundary coefficients for simulation have always been defined as some constants with the help of personal experience. This is the main reason for inaccuracy in the thermal model deducing....
This paper is mainly to discriminate the obstacle models that the robot may meet by using BP neural network. The essential work autonomous mobile robot should complete includes path planning, localization and obstacle avoidance, and this paper has laid the foundation for these tasks. The result of computer simulation indicates that the design has achieved the expected task to judge the obstacle models.
The saliency map model proposed by Itti and Koch has been a popular method in explaining the guidance of visual attention using only bottom-up information. The method makes one-level salient-point extraction, and does not take human visual resolution into account. We propose a hierarchical architecture to identify salient regions in a multiple-layer manner. Two ways of attention movements are introduced...
