In this paper, based on equivalent-principle, a parallel hybrid Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) and Multilevel Fast Multipole Algorithm (MLFMA) is introduced to analyze the radiation characteristic of an airborne antenna array. The numerical convergence of results is achieved through several iterations. Numerical results show that it can greatly reduce the memory requirement and time consumption.
In this paper, the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) hybridized with higher-order method of moments (HOMoM) is presented to analyze the near-field of electrically large target affected by the ground-based antenna in half-space. To improve the performance of the hybrid method, the parallel solver is developed based on the combination of the block-partitioned scheme for the large dense MoM...
Parallelization of multilevel fast multipole algorithm for scattering analysis of targets situated in a half-space environment is presented. Due to the introduction of image sources to deal with the effects of far interface interactions, the communication traffic is nearly doubled compared to that in the free-space case. An adaptive direction partitioning strategy with improved load balance is developed...
