How to effectively distribute and share increasingly large volumes of data in large-scale network applications is a key challenge for Internet infrastructure. Although NDN, a promising new future internet architecture which takes data oriented transfer approaches, aims to better solve such needs than IP, it still faces problems like data redundancy transmission and inefficient in-network cache utilization...
In the view of the problem that the government department, enterprise and farmers lack timely exact agricultural products price information and effective convenient visualization tools, the paper focuses on the realization of producing and delivering dynamic thematic map of agricultural products price in the Internet. Firstly, the agricultural products price data, acquired from Internet through vertical...
Biodiversity conservations are often comprehensive, dynamic and complex problem that require professionals to work in teams while dealing with large and decentralized of project areas. However, the varieties of scattered thematic geospatial information can not be used directly and effectively by users - it impedes rather facilitates collaboration, and increases the project cost. To solve this problems,...
TFRC is a TCP-friendly rate control protocol based on TCP Reno's throughput equation. It is designed to provide optimal service for unicast multimedia flow operating in the wired Internet environment. However, in wireless networks, TFRC, same as TCP Reno, suffers significant performance degradation. In this paper, we propose to make use of a more advanced equation to enhance TFRC over wireless networks...
This letter develops a simple analytic approach to model the throughput for a bulk transfer of TCP Veno flow. Both simulation and live Internet experiment results demonstrate that such an equation is able to accurately predict TCP Veno throughput over LAN as well as WAN scenarios, with wired links and/or wireless links embedded.
Adaptive hierarchical clustering algorithm (AHCA) maps a flat topology to a hierarchical tree though output trees are incontrollable and are not suitable for multimedia. Prune-relocate operation and top topologies operation are proposed in this paper to improve AHCA protocol and generate OM-AHCA trees. Numerical simulations show that OM-AHCA trees are compromise between AHCA trees and single-level...
