Ultrasonic telemetry system was one of the most useful methods to observe the underwater target. But this system had disadvantage to need exclusive receiving device. We developed the sonar responding acoustic tag (called SRAT) to resolve the disadvantage. SRAT was acoustic tag that signals are appeared on the sonar display. The prototype of SRAT is responded the sonar signal between 20 kHz to 90 kHz...
This paper describes development of a haptic interface using a laser range finder. The system consists of a laser range finder, a 1 degree-of-freedom haptic apparatus and a computer. The haptic apparatus can generate a reaction force based on a distance to a remote object that is measured by the laser range finder. A user can feel the shape of a remote object by holding this interface and pointing...
By employing 111Gb/s no-guard-interval coherent OFDM and SNR maximized second-order distributed Raman amplification in the extended L-band, we demonstrate the record capacity-distance product of 84.3Petabit/s.km (13.5 Tb/stimes6,248 km), and also 1 Tb/s transmission over 9,612 km.
We demonstrate the record capacity-distance product of 48.2 Petabit/s.km by using 111-Gb/s no-guard-interval coherent OFDM with 2-b/s/Hz spectral efficiency.
