A poly-Al–Zn–Fe (PAZF) coagulant was prepared using a galvanized aluminum slag as main raw material, and was characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Infrared Spectroscopy (IR) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD). Simultaneous removal efficiency and mechanism of nitrogen (as NH 3 –N) and organic matters (as COD Cr ) during coagulation process in treating simulated fountain water...
A new polymer, oxidative Poly-Si-Fe (PSF) coagulant was prepared by an oxidization and copolymerization method. The influence of the oxidization of PSF on the adsorption of humid acid (HA) was explored, in comparison with that of polyferric aluminum (PFA). The results show that PSF changes the molecular structure of HA, leading to the improvement of adsorption of HA.
An inorganic polymer, poly-silicic-ferric (PSF) coagulant was prepared by co-polymerization, and the hydrolysis products distribution of PSF was calculated from the pH changes during the hydrolysis process of PSF. The characterization of PSF and total phosphorus (TP) removal by PSF were studied in comparison with that of poly-ferric aluminum (PFA). The results revealed that PSF has more than 30% TP...
