A novel vertically coupled tunable microdisk resonator with integrated MEMS tunable optical couplers is demonstrated. A reconfigurable add-drop filter based on this device shows an extinction ratio of 20 dB
Rapidly tunable chromatic dispersion is realized by vertically-coupled microdisk resonators with MEMS-actuated deformable waveguides. Group delays (27 to 65 ps) and dispersions (185 to 1200 ps/nm) are continuously tuned by voltage (<35 V)
