This paper is concerned with stabilization of a one-dimensional wave equation with variable coefficient, which suffers from an arbitrary time delay in the observation. We commit ourselves to the wave equation with variable coefficients generalized of that with constant coefficients under delayed observation. The observer and predictor systems are constructed to introduce the estimated state feedback...
In this paper, a reasonable creep material model used in FEM analysis for bulging of cast slab was determined based on the comparative results between simulation and experimental data. A thermo-mechanical coupling, creep and dynamic FEM model of continuous casting process has been constructed and applied to case studies. The analysis produces outputs such as the necessity of considering the case slab...
This paper aims at developing a systematic approach in frequency domain to design robust fault detection filters for linear time invariant (LTI) systems with model uncertainties. Three types of fault detection (FD) problems, i.e., H-/Hinfin problem, H2/Hinfin problem and Hinfin/Hinfin problem, are formulated and a procedure for designing the optimal robust fault detection filters is presented.
