In this paper we describe a simple method developed to solve the most complex problem of kinematics determination of various types of four-component mechanically compensated zoom lenses. It has been shown that how a simple paraxial conjugate equation, along with magnification equation can be used successfully to solve the Hercules problem of component displacement in a four component mechanically...
This paper describes the paraxial thin lens design of a large magnification compact size zoom lens. Various types of four-component mechanically compensated zoom lenses are compared for their suitability to meet the specific requirements. It has been shown that Type IV Zoom lens is a best choice for this purpose.
