The paper presents a novel rotor design with U-shape flux barriers concept for a hybrid excited synchronous machine with flux magnetic bridges. Based on 3D finite element analysis the influence of axial flux bridges on the field-weakening characteristics of the machine is estimated and compared with experimental results. Moreover, harmonics spectrum of the air-gap flux density, no-load magnetic flux...
A method is presented for calculating the electromagnetic fields, forces and Ohmic losses for the basic building block of linear induction motors (LIM). The analytic solution is compared to commercial Finite Element Analysis (FEA) results. Advantages of analytical calculations over FEA simulations of LIMs for medium to high speeds are explained.
This paper presents an idea of adaptive predictive current controller for IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine). It consists of introduction to predictive control techniques applied for current control, mathematical formulation of a control problem, simulation results and summary. Simulations consider also robustness of classic deadbeat controller to object parameter changes and comparison...
