An array of dipole antenna for multichannel near field imaging has been designed, fabricated and characterized using Terahertz time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) system. A 2D Terahertz image using the designed antenna can be obtained by reconfiguring the wavefront of the optical probe beam using the spatial light modulator. As a proof of concept, the THz spectrum of one of the dipole antenna is measured...
An inverse Doppler shift occurs in a photonic crystal (PC) bounded by a moving wall. The interpretation of this result has stirred some controversy. In this paper, we address the problem using a diagrammatic approach. This visual representation provides immediate insight into the phenomenon, and is a powerful tool for the design of time-varying PCs.
We demonstrate broadband THz modulation in liquid under the applications of suitable magnetic fields. 65% modulation has been obtained using 50mT. The modulation is polarization sensitive and achieved thanks to a magnetic-induced medium anisotropy.
