Two layered sodium silicate products were prepared using a new ion exchange method called the freezing titration ion exchange. The tribological properties of the ion exchange products as additives in mineral oil were evaluated using a four-ball tester. The products exhibited excellent friction behavior when used as additives in mineral oil. When 1wt% was added, the tribological properties of the oils...
Based on the analysis of the human-machine system, the problems about the interface design in current web-based courses were discovered. Under the guidance of Human Factors a new design of the web-based course interface was completed. The interface improvement was achieved in two aspects as follow: (1) the organization form of the interface elements was simplified; (2) the 4-pane structure of the...
Silver nanoparticles (SNPs) have received considerable attention owing to their attractive physicochemical properties, such as small size effect, quantum tunnel effect, surface effect et al. SNPs have recently been reported to be a promising antimicrobial material showing strong inhibition for a wide range of microorganisms. SNPs have currently been used as a new antimicrobial material in different...
There is an increasing need for early detection and treatment of cancer before a tumor mass becomes evident as anatomical anomaly. Highly fluorescent nanoparticles suitable for in vivo detection of tumor cells represent a promising strategy to surpass current limitations in cancer diagnostic and tumor therapy. However, an optimum nanostructure that simultaneously offers multiple functionalities, including...
Halogenated benzenes are chemical materials used widely. In this paper, its degradation and debromination by electron beam was studied. Comparing the pre-and-post of beam radiation, differing from pH conditions, its radiolysis was researched. The results show that degradation of bromobenzene solution by radiolysis of UV and electron beam is feasible.
The detection of micro-cracks or degradation of strength of materials at the early stage of fracture is of increasing importance in power plants and aviation industry. A methodology of detecting micro-cracks or degradation of material using quasi matrix pencil method is presented in this paper. The damage is represented by small local elastic modulus reduction. Response of axisymmetric longitudinal...
