A Sagnac interferometer based on an optical microfiber is demonstrated. It shows good adjustability of transmission, which enables it to be used as linear edge filter, optical variable attenuator, or gain flattening filter.
A novel photonic microwave notch filter with capability of frequency tuning is demonstrated by using S-bending based wavelength-spacing tunable dual-wavelength fibre laser. Experimental results show that the notch rejection of more than 30 dB and the flexible tunability of notch frequency in the range of 1.4-6.7 GHz.
We experimentally demonstrate a novel photonic microwave notch filter with capability of frequency tuning using an S-bending-based, linearly tunable, chirped FBG with no center wavelength shift.
