We introduce PBG-Net, an object detection system based on an elaborately designed multi-feature deep CNN which works without proposal algorithms. Firstly, PBG-Net aggregates hierarchical features into multi-feature maps and discretizes the output of Conv5 feature map into a set of predicting boxes, namely Predicting Boxes Generation (PBG). Then, PBG-Net crops multi-feature maps via mapping the predicting...
Nonbinary low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes over finite fields GF(q) have a better performance than those of the binary low-density parity-check codes, at short and medium block lengths, but the decoder of GF(q)-LDPC has more complexity. In this paper, a new stopping criterion is proposed. Based on the changes of the variance of variable node??s extrinsic information, the criterion can predict...
In this paper, a novel clipping noise mitigation algorithm for OFDM system with large clipping ratio is proposed. We notice that the situation that there is only one sample above the clipping level appears with a large probability and the clipping noise on each subcarrier can be estimated in this case. Simulation result shows that the proposed algorithm can mitigate the clipping noise effectively.
The conventional one-tap equalizer for OFDM based communication systems fails to eliminate the ISI and ICI introduced by multipath propagation when the Channel Impulse Response (CIR) length exceeds the duration of Guard Interval (GI). We propose, in this paper, a new equalization scheme for the suppression of insufficient GI generated interference using redundancy provided by the guard bands. Simulation...
