This paper proposes a synchronous rectification (SR) control scheme for LLC resonant converter by digital controller. In the proposed SR control scheme, conduction detector circuit senses the drain-source voltage of secondary SR switches to detect the state of paralleled body diode. Digital controller tunes the turn-on and turn-off time of SR switches depending on conduction detector circuit output...
Recently, efficiency improvement has been noted with the rapidly increasing consumption of energy. The diode losses is the main cause of efficiency decrease in bridge rectifier of conventional PFC circuit, it can not be neglected. Therefore bridgeless PFC circuit has been focused. In this research, the various bridgeless PFC circuits are analyzed. The results of switching noise are compared and efficiency...
This paper presents the novel driving technique of synchronous rectifier (SR) for the LLC converter. The unique characteristic of “Vo*D=constant” of LLC converter is utilized to predict optimal duty ratio D, where D is the conduction period of secondary diode. This technique does not need the sensing of SR current neither SR voltage. The technique is confirmed by experimentally.
This paper discusses the operating characteristics of push-pull type series resonant converter. The AC equivalent model and AC analysis of push-pull type series resonant converter are confirmed by analytically and experimentally. Moreover, the operating characteristics of push-pull type series resonant converter including SR are also investigated.
The Power Supply Working Group, created inside the Cooperative Study Group on “Applied Simulations of Power Electronics Systems” of IEEJ, is developing practical simulation examples of power supply circuits. The simulation examples have the following key features: (1) Parameters in the simulation examples are thoughtfully set to practical values so that one can readily carry out practical simulations...
