We propose an autocorrelation model of SF (shadow fading) in LOS (line-of-sight) rural macro environments. The proposed model is based on the empirical autocorrelations obtained from wideband MIMO (multiple input multiple output) channel measurements at 2.38 and 3.705 GHz. It was found that the SF depends on frequency and so do the empirical autocorrelations. The proposed model provides good matches...
Distributed antenna systems (DAS) has been adopted in both indoor and outdoor wireless communications for benefits of reducing the power consumption and enhancing system capacity owing to spatial multiplexing gains. The capacity of a DAS system is partially determined by the cross-correlation of the large-scale fading of multiple links in the system. In this contribution, we use experimental data...
In this paper, we propose a zero-padded (ZP) packet transmission scheme for forward link packet data channel (F-PDCH) of cdma2000 1x EV-DV. The system utilizes the quasi complementary Turbo codes (QCTC) to adjust its packet format to be modulated in ZP single-carrier frequency domain equalizer (FDE) symbol units while the subpacket structure of forward link packet data channel is preserved. Thus,...
This paper presents a new ordering criterion for successive interference cancelations (SIC) in MIMO flat fading channels and provides a performance comparison with the original ordering of V-BLAST. Furthermore, an efficient and stable Cholesky decomposition based detection algorithm is proposed to further reduce the computational complexity of existing fast algorithms for SIC in MIMO flat fading channels.
