P-implanted ZnO nanorods were annealed by a KrF excimer laser at different repetition rate. The entire implanted region of ZnO nanorods was annealed beyond the optical-absorption length at high repetition rate.
We propose a method to control the modal volume of a photonic crystal nanocavity. This method provides a large amount of freedom to control cavity quantum electrodynamics in solid state without energy dissipation.
We demonstrate nanoscale interaction between dielectric and metallic nanocavities. The Q factor's change is affected by the location and the types of metallic nanocavities. These electric/magnetic local responses can be utilized for various photonic applications.
This paper describes DC characteristics of AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) fabricated on a free-standing GaN substrate. The three terminal breakdown voltage of the fabricated HEMT with a gate length of 3 µm exhibited a linear increase with increasing the gate-to-drain distance (Lgd), reaching more than 1200 V at Lgd=25 µm. It was found that the ON/OFF ratio in the drain current...
We examined the efficacy and safety of 4-drug combination therapy using high-dose mizoribine (MZR) (8 mg/kg/d), cyclosporine (CsA), basiliximab (BXM), and steroid (STR) in 39 renal transplant recipients. Acute rejection episodes (ARE), which occurred in 9 (23.1%) patients, correlated with lower blood levels of MZR (trough levels ≥2 μg/mL). In addition, lower MZR concentrations tended to be associated...
We investigate the effects of the fission fragments on the angular distribution of scission neutrons. The time evolution of the wave function of the scission neutron is obtained by integrating the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. The effects of the re-absorption and scattering by the fission fragments are taken into account by means of the optical potential. The angular distribution is strongly...
We have fabricated AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) with a multi-field-plate structure. An enhanced breakdown voltage was achieved by introducing a multi-field-plate to a conventional HEMT structure. This is the first report demonstrating enhanced breakdown characteristics by applying a bias voltage to the field-plate.
The increasing integration of distributed and renewable energy sources into the electrical power network presents challenges for the operation and management of the network. New techniques are required to ensure the effective management of the balance between supply and demand, and the proper maintenance of voltage stability and power quality in the network. A new energy management system, designed...
We evaluated high frequency signal transmission characteristics of coplanar waveguides fabricated using Au cone bump interconnections. Electroless Ni / Au bumps were used as counter-electrodes against the Au cone bumps. The signal transmission loss increased with the number of bump interconnections. At 40 GHz, the signal insertion loss due to the bump interconnections was 0.017 dB / bump with the...
