A novel CPW fed stacked circular MSA with the DGS slab has been presented. Bandwidth and gain of the multiband planar antenna are enhanced. The DGS slab has a function to separate the typical frequencies of the stacked CMSA and to improve the impedance matching as an impedance transformer. Experiments were carried out to verify the results predicted in the simulation. Good agreement between the measured...
In this paper, we propose a novel stacked circular microstrip antenna (C-MSA) fed by a CPW. The planar EBG structure is used to obtain broadband performance for dual operating frequencies. The bandwidth of 6.73 % and 7.55 % are obtained for the low- and high-frequency bands, respectively. Moreover, broadside radiation patterns and gains of about 8.0 dBi in average are also obtained over the both bandwidths...
This paper demonstrates a novel multiband rhombic microstrip antenna (MSA) with multiple slots printed on a single-layer PTFE substrate. The antenna is fed by a coplanar gap coupled with a V-shaped patch. Three inverted V-shaped slots are assumed on the rhombic patch and hence four resonant frequencies are obtained. Broadside radiation patterns and gain of over 5.0 dBi are also obtained. Experiments...
