In this paper, we present a non-symmetry and anti-packing object pattern representation model (NAM). The NAM model codes the geometry of generic object categories as a hierarchy of sub-patterns and each sub-pattern is represented by a rich set of image cues. The sub-pattern-based NAM model is designed to decouple variations due to affine warps and other forms of shape deformations. The combination...
Relevance feedback is an iterative search technique to bridge the semantic gap between the high level user intention and low level data representation. This technique interactively determines a user's desired output or query concept by asking the user whether certain proposed 3D models are relevant or not. For a relevance feedback algorithm to be effective, it must grasp a user's query concept accurately...
Although texture mapping is a common technique for adding apparent surface detail to 3-D objects, it lacks the capability to represent the bumpy detail and the motion parallax effect. In this paper, we propose normal vector shift, a simple rendering method to motion parallax effects on a surface with small detail. This method can be enhanced the quality of the rendering result with graphics hardware.
