A high-power diode-pumped pure Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:KGW laser was demonstrated. The developed laser delivered 240 fs pulses with 2.3 W of average output power at a repetition rate of 86.8 MHz, which corresponds to 110 kW of peak power and 26 nJ of pulse energy. The limiting factor to the laser operation was the appearance of a strong continuous wave (CW) component in the mode-locked laser spectrum.
A high power sub-60 fs mode-locked diode-pumped Yb: KGW laser based on hybrid action of an InGaAs quantum-dot saturable absorber mirror and Kerr-lens mode locking was demonstrated. The laser delivered 56 fs pulses with 1.95 W of average power corresponding to 450 kW of peak power. The spectral bandwidth of the pulse was 20.5 nm, which was near the gain bandwidth limit of the Yb:KGW crystal. To the...
A high power continuous-wave dual-wavelength Yb:KGW laser using a birefringent plate was demonstrated. Stable operation at 1014.6 nm and 1046.3 nm with 3.4 W of average output power was obtained with diffraction-limited beam profile.
A high power continuous wave dual-wavelength Yb:KGW laser using a birefringent plate was demonstrated. Stable operation at 1014.6 nm and 1046.3 nm with 3.4 W of average output power was obtained.
Dual action of quantum-dot saturable absorber and Kerr lens mode locking of a diode-pumped Yb:KGW laser was demonstrated. The laser delivered 105 fs pulses with 2.5 W of average power and >300 kW of peak power.
This paper reports a tunable dual-wavelength diode-pumped Yb:CALGO laser using a single birefringent plate filter which covers a tuning range of approximately 1020 nm to 1070 nm.
This paper incorporate the multilevel selection (MLS) theory into the genetic algorithm. Based on this theory, a Multilevel Cooperative Genetic Algorithm (MLGA) is presented. In MLGA, a species is subdivided in a set of populations, each population is subdivided in groups, and evolution occurs at two levels so called individual and group level. A fast population dynamics occurs at individual level...
Fingerprint image enhancement is an essential preprocessing step in fingerprint recognition applications. In this paper we introduce an approach that extracts simultaneously orientation and frequency of local ridge in the fingerprint image by Gabor wavelet filter bank and use them in Gabor Filtering of image. Furthermore, we describes a robust approach to fingerprint image enhancement, which is based...
Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model is developed and maintained by the Supply Chain Council (SCC). The model is a reference model which can be used to map, benchmark and improve the supply chain operations. SCOR model provides companies with a basic process modeling tool, an extensive benchmark database and defines a set of supply chain metrics. Mobarakeh Steel Company (located in Isfahan,...
The optimization algorithms which are inspired from intelligent behavior of honey bees are among the most recently introduced techniques. In this paper, a novel algorithm called bee swarm optimization, or BSO, is presented. The BSO is a population based optimization technique which is inspired from foraging behavior of honey bees. The proposed approach provides different patterns which are used by...
In this paper we present a combinatorial optimization method based on particle swarm optimization and stochastic local search concept. Under this method, in order to balance between exploration and exploitation, at each iteration step a local exploration performed around particles. The stochastic local search encourages the particle to explore local region beyond that defined by the search algorithm...
This work presents a robust and real-time algorithm for multi-object tracking in dynamic and cluttered scenes. This algorithm uses both region and object information to cope with multi object tracking issues. The rigid and non rigid objects tracked successfully by algorithm. Experimental results show that the algorithm have good performance in cluttered backgrounds even under splitting and occlusion...
