An advanced dynamic spectrum allocation scheme based on fairness aware and fragmentation reduction is proposed to address the service fairness problem. Simulation results imply that the proposed scheme can greatly improve service fairness and reduce spectrum fragmentation.
We demonstrate the adjustability of optimal input power (OIP) of the radio over fiber (RoF) link by proper link gain control in the central unit (CU) and remote antenna unit (RAU). The experiment results show that the reading and writing distance (RWD) of the radio frequency identification (RFID) service and the throughput of the WiFi service have a max increase of 3cm and 6.975Mbit/s respectively...
We experimentally demonstrate one-to-eight all-optical wavelength multicasting for 10.7-Gbit/s RZ-DPSK based on dual-pump four-wave-mixing in a generally highly nonlinear fiber. No additional stimulated Brillouin scattering suppression scheme is required in the experiment.
Based on the protocol—low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH), we investigate an improved energy-efficient communication protocol for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in the presence of distributed optical fiber sensor (DFS) links located at the center of WSN fields. Network performances in terms of lifetime of nodes are simulated for the cases that two WSNs can or cannot communicate with...
