In this paper, we designed and tested ESAs with impedance matching circuits having different gain. We succeeded in implementing the circuit which matches the small radiation resistance of ESA to amplifier. Measured results are close to the simulation value. So we proved possibility to design and fabricate ESA with high radiation efficiency.
This paper presents the design method of the CPW-fed slot dipole antenna for one-sided directional ultra wide band (UWB) high band application. By using and controlling the three resonances from the slot and antenna substrate, we can realize the wide band radiation. The tested antenna size is 16 mm times 29 mm.
We designed and fabricated an electrically small antenna (ESA) with coplanar waveguide (CPW) matching circuit. Matching circuit is realized by using an interdigital gap and a transmission line. We designed ESA with the aid of the commercial three-dimensional electro magnetic field simulator. We also made experiments on the ESA with CPW matching circuits using patterned circuit board.
